What is Locked In?
Locked In is a learn-to-earn platform on Solana. You lock real USDC behind a course. To get it back — plus the yield it earns while locked — you have to actually finish the course, one lesson a day.
The idea is simple and a little uncomfortable: promises to “start learning tomorrow” are free, so we break them. A locked deposit isn’t free. Loss aversion is the strongest motivator behavioral science has found, so Locked In puts it to work for you instead of against you.
The loop
- Lock — pick a course and lock USDC into an on-chain vault ($10–$50 per course during beta).
- Learn — complete at least one lesson every day. Lessons are graded; you need a real passing score, not a pulse.
- Keep your streak — daily learning builds a streak and earns you Shields that protect it. Miss days without protection and you take Lapses that cut the yield you’ll receive.
- Complete & claim — finish the course and claim your full principal back, plus your share of the yield it earned.
What happens to your money
- Your USDC sits in a program-owned vault on Solana — not in our bank account. See Custody.
- While locked, it’s deposited into a lending strategy (Kamino) to earn yield. See Yield & APY.
- Your principal is never taken as a penalty. Ever. The only thing at stake from missing days is the yield — miss enough and your yield share goes to the Community Pot, which is paid out monthly to the people who kept their streaks.
Locked In is in beta. Deposits are capped at $50 per course and $1,000 across the whole platform while we harden the system. Caps will lift as the beta progresses.
