The Flame
The flame on your dashboard is a mirror of your streak’s health — a single glance tells you how safe you are. It’s derived entirely from your Shields, Lapses, and whether you’ve learned today; there’s nothing to feed or maintain beyond doing your lessons.
Flame states
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Blazing | You’ve passed a lesson today and hold a full 3 Shields. Fully protected. |
| Flickering | You’re active but not fully shielded — you have progress to protect and fewer than 3 Shields banked. |
| Dark | You’ve taken 1 Lapse. Half your yield share is gone; the other half is on the line. |
| Extinguished | 2+ Lapses. Your yield share is 0%. Your principal remains safe, and finishing the course still returns it in full. |
Reading it honestly
The flame never lies in your favor: if it’s blazing, a missed day tomorrow costs you a Shield, not a Lapse. If it’s dark, the message is “one more unprotected miss and the remaining yield is gone.” Use it as your daily go/no-go signal.
