Lapses & your yield
This page is the money view of the Streak, Shields & Lapses mechanic.
The split
Your Lapse count at course completion sets your yield share — checked and enforced by the on-chain program at claim time:

“Net yield” is gross yield minus the platform fee (currently 0%, so today net = gross).
The guarantees
- Principal first. The settlement math pays your principal back in full before any split happens. Lapses cannot touch it.
- Frozen at completion. The count that matters is your Lapse count when you pass the final lesson. After that, nothing — not even months of inactivity before claiming — can change it.
- Nothing goes to us. Redirected yield goes to the Community Pot and is distributed to other learners. Locked In’s cut is the fee (0% in beta), nothing else.
The system is designed so that the platform never benefits from your failure. If you lapse, your yield funds the people who didn’t — that keeps our incentives pointed at helping you finish.
