Lock into a course
Head to the Academy (the big building on the left of the village) to browse courses. Each course shows its modules and lessons up front — you can see exactly what you’re committing to before you lock anything.
The deposit
When you choose a course, you pick how much USDC to lock:

These are beta caps enforced on-chain — the program itself rejects deposits outside them, and will tell you if the platform cap would be exceeded.
There is no timer
Your lock has no fixed duration. It releases when you complete the course — that’s the whole deal. Finish in two weeks, get your money in two weeks. There’s also a hard safety valve: if a lock ever sits unresolved for 180 days, the funds can be force-returned to you regardless of anything else. See Claiming & force return.
What signing means
Locking is a real Solana transaction that you sign with your wallet:
- You approve the transfer of your chosen USDC amount into the course’s on-chain vault account (owned by the Locked In program, not by us — see Custody).
- Before your first deposit you’ll be asked to accept the terms and risk disclosure. This is recorded once, and it’s a condition of using the platform.
- The backend confirms your lock from the chain itself — your enrollment is driven by what’s actually on-chain, not by what the app claims.
One lock per course. Once you complete a course you can’t re-lock into it — completed means done. You can lock into a different course any time.
