The Community Pot

The Community Pot (the Tavern in the village) is where redirected yield goes — and where it comes back out, monthly, to the people who kept their streaks.

Money in

Whenever someone claims with Lapses, the yield share they forfeited (50% or 100% of their net yield) is booked to the pot at settlement, on-chain. The pot is funded only by redirected yield — never by principal, and never topped up with house money that could distort incentives.

Money out — the monthly distribution

Once a month, the previous full UTC calendar month is closed and the pot accumulated in that window is distributed.

Eligibility — at the time the window closes you need:

• an active lock (real principal, on-chain, still locked), and
• a current streak greater than 0.

Your share is proportional to your weight:

weight = your locked principal × your current streak

A $50 lock with a 30-day streak weighs six times as much as a $50 lock with a 5-day streak — the pot rewards sustained consistency, scaled by skin in the game. Payouts are calculated so the window’s pot is fully distributed with no rounding leftovers lost.

The Tavern shows the current pot size, the next distribution window, and past distributions. The Leaderboard shows recent pot payouts per wallet.
